André Riehl

André Riehl

André Riehl Studies Yoga since 1972. He first stayed in a monastery in the Himalayas, before wandering along the roads of India, meeting many traditional masters with whom he sometimes stayed, studying very specific teachings from classical as well as tantric yoga practices. After some searching years, meeting Kashmiri Babu, a wandering ascetic from the Shaiva tradition, he undergone a deep study retreat into the spiritual quest.

Also very touched by his meetings with J. Krishnamurti and Sri Ananda Mayee Ma, he studied two other important aspects of the inner path, related to these two great instructors: discrimination and relationship.

It is the final encounter with Chandra Swami, an ascetic from the Brahmanic lineage of the Udasins, which will give a full sense to all the teachings studied before.

Author of "Le Prince des Forêts", a French adaptation of the Râmayâna, of two video cassettes on "Yoga Traditionnel" and a CD of Sanskrit chantings Mantra Sadhana, he also translated 8 books on the inner quest.
Nominated President of the french Fédération des Yoga Traditionnels in 1992, he opened seven Yoga Training Schools (Toulouse, Paris, Bretagne, Bourgogne, Le Mans, Suisse and Luxemburg).

He is currently in charge of Somapa, a yoga study centre in south of France, Prana Bindu Niwas, a yoga retreat centre for long time study sessions in central India, and 4 nidra yoga training schools in Luxemburg, Germany, Marocco, Switzerland and France.

His teaching encompasses many paths of Yoga and is focused on the dynamic transformation when Body, Mind and Spirit align towards self-realization. Dave Stringer & Band

Dave Stringer & Band

The Los Angeles Times has declared the experience of chanting with Dave Stringer to be "a departure from ancient kirtan. Stringer's performance shaped the experience into a far more compelling musical encounter." He has been widely profiled as one of the most innovative artists of the new International kirtan movement in publications as diverse as Yoga Aktuell, Time, Billboard, Yoga Journal and In Style.

Stringer's sound marries the transcendent mysticism of traditional Indian instruments with the exuberant, groove-oriented sensibility of American gospel, and he is regarded as one of the most accomplished singers in the genre. His work intends to create a modern and participatory theatrical experience out of the ancient traditions of kirtan and yoga, open to a multiplicity of interpretations, and accessible to all.

Initially trained as a visual artist, filmmaker and jazz musician, Stringer had his formative experiences with chanting when film editing work brought him to the Siddha Yoga ashram in Ganeshpuri, India in 1990. A subsequent period of residence at the ashram laid the foundation for his continuing study of the ideas, practices and music of yoga. After returning to California in 1992, he began leading kirtan in yoga studios and teaching meditation to prison inmates.

Since 2000, Stringer and an extended family of accompanying musicians have toured North America, Australia and Europe tirelessly. An articulate and engaging public speaker, he probes the dilemmas of the spirit with a wry and unorthodox sense of humor. Stringer frequently works in tandem with masters of the art of hatha yoga, creating music for workshops led by John Friend, Shiva Rea, and Gurmukh, among many others. His voice also appears on numerous soundtracks, including the blockbuster film "Matrix Revolutions" and the video game "Myst".

Jenny, Jason & Team

Jenny Sauer-Klein

Jenny Sauer-Klein - A lifelong lover of movement, expression and connection, I spent my childhood and early adulthood dancing, singing and acting. Discovering yoga while I was in university was the answers to prayers I didn't even know I had. I began teaching yoga in New York City a few years later, where I also began teaching circus arts to children in afterschool programs. Little did I know where it was all leading to.

From my very first experience of flying, I was hooked. Like many worthwhile things in life, it didn't come easily, but my deep love of the practice kept me coming back for more. I was entranced by the limitless potential of two or more beings coming together in a devotional, playful and mutually supportive practice. Ultimately, it is about being present with myself and my partner, and regardless of whether or not I even know this person's name, relating to this being as a reflection of divine essence.

Hanuman´s move Yoga, a body-space experience.

Karl Kolb started his Yoga practice 1995 with Pattabhi Jois in Mysore and received his blessing to teach in 2002. 2008 he founded the Berlin Yoga studio Hanuman´s move.

Karls Yoga is strongly influenced by Ashtanga, though in the course of years, he came across some other teachers and yoga styles and adepted them into his practice and classes. Such as John Friend (Anusara), Bridget Woods Kramer (Anusara), Reinhard Gammentaler (Kundalini), Richard Freeman (Ashtanga) as well as Victor van Kooten and Angela Farmer (Underground Yoga).

Hanuman stands as a symbol for devotion and through this devotion he finds his strenght.

With devotion to oneself, the mind sometimes becomes so quiet and distracted, that we can hear the sounds of the soul again. For this, our inner awareness should be refined, our inner ear opend and the body healthy. Like this Hanuman´s move Yoga is as well powerfull and dynamic as experimentally sensitive. The capacity of the mind to concentrate and to visualise, with the strenght of the body to hold a posture will become an experience that leads inwards.

In agreement with your self while experiencing yourself.

Satyaa & Pari

Satyaa & Pari

Satyaa and Pari met in Lucknow, in the community around Sri HWL Poonja (lovingly called Papaji by his devotees). Papaji always stressed the outstanding importance of bhakti (devotion) as a direct way to the Divine within us. This love and devotion finds expression in the music of Satyaa and Pari, mostly their own compositions of mantra songs of devotion. However, some famous traditional hymns of divine love from India are included as well!

This love for divine devotion shines from all songs on their CDs. Their latest CD, "Surrender" is a new collection of these songs, coming from the heart. They live in Alexis Zorbas Center in Corfu, which Pari founded many years ago. Pari has toured for many years through various cities in Europe and America; now together, their live performances exude the divine spark through their devoted voices, with the power to show the listener the way to his own heart. Come and enjoy!

Scott Mike Prochnau

Scott Mike Prochnau

Scott Mike Prochnau, born in 1970 as a cancer. His path led him from competitive gymnastics to sports acrobatics and after the fall of the Berlin wall to yoga. He carries out yoga since 1990 and since 2000 he works as a freelance yoga teacher, ProFiCo and physiotherapist in Berlin.

My spiritual path began after the reunion with the teachings of Ayya Khema. Peace and truth would become my companions as i discovered yoga after a long search. I was enthused from the wide spectrum of the methods.

After the profound effects of yoga itself have touched me deeply, I consider it as a calling to let as many people as possible participate in the precious teachings on the way of self-revelation.

My first steps led me to gentle styles, yet I found my strengths in the Raja Yoga Sutras, the Ashtanga & Vinyasa Flow. It was clear to me that the combination of static and dynamic elements, balancing and meditative at the same time, provides the most effective form of bringing the 3 Gunas, as well as body, mind and soul in harmony. After encounters with Sikh like Snatam Kaur, a new harmonizing field presented itself to me, Kundalini Yoga. Yoga is a unique instrument of self-discovery and self-healing, a way to peace and truth which not just only liberates, but brings joy and fun as well. Yoga fetches you where you are and brings you on the way to discover your own teacher in yourself. Yoga is my key. So Ham.

Volker Mehl

Volker Mehl

Born in Mannheim in 1976, Volker Mehl is in the meantime living in Munich. After his A-levels, he made a detour to the university of Mainz in order to study RC theology.

However, after one semester and a certificate in Hebrew, he followed the upcoming idea of walking on a different path. The experience of studying nevertheless turned out to be a very useful one as the topic of enshrining himself with books had finally found an end.

Another loop way followed, his apprenticeship as an insurance salesman, which finally lead to the urge to throw himself into something very different: his training as an Ayurvedic health promoter that shaped up to be a watershed.

In living and working with Ayurveda he has found his personal and professional determination. Since then, he has enjoyed following his two great passions, cooking and interacting with people, every day.

In addition to operating his cooking school in Munich he not only works as a freelancer for the German "Yoga Journal" and the cooking portal "BonGusto.de" but also presents his own radio broadcast on "Radio Lora", Munich.
